Thank you to everyone who has made all this possible.
Our main priority now is to complete the House of Joshua Children's Home to provide accommodation for some of the hundreds of flood orphans.
The access road has been built and with electricity now connected to the site work has commenced on fabricating the welded steel roof trusses.
About £14,000 more is needed to get the house ready for habitation.

Where in CDO is this building? Can you please let me know who benifitted from your feeding programme? And as opposed to the Millions £/$ given in aid from overseas governments and charity organisations what have you done with your 7K?
ReplyDeleteCurious Brit in CDO.
Jim the building is in Canitoan. Food was distributed by our mission partners Lifenet Children' Foundation Inc. in several flood affected areas including Canitoan, the evacuation centres at the basketball court in Macasandig and a school in Agusan, a couple of remote villages and the tent city at Calaanan, amongst others. Some of the £7k was used for food distribution, for truck hire, sacks of rice, groceries, cooking utensils, sleeping mats for the homeless and purchase of building materials for some houses which were capable of being repaired. Some of the money is being utilised to provide for ongoing outreach and ministry to children at the Calaanan camp site. If you have access to Facebook you can find links from our page to photo albums posted by Lifenet that will tell you more.
